Skin Fact or Fiction: Does Toothpaste Cure Acne?

Sarah Eggenberger, beauty and lifestyle expert visited with Val Warner, co-host of the popular “Windy City Live” television program to discuss what does and does not work for getting rid of acne – and to share her favorite acne product that gets amazing results.

Val Warner hosted a recent segment of Windy City Live, the popular daytime TV show that airs on ABC Chicago, with guest and beauty expert Sarah Eggenberger, for a little fun with beauty facts and myths.  Sarah tested Val’s beauty knowledge with a question that comes up quite often around the internet.

The question: “Dabbing toothpaste on a breakout will make it disappear, Fact or Myth?”

Val took a quick poll of the audience and noted that they were split down the middle.  Some thought it was a fact while others believed it was a myth.

Sarah set the record straight – “It’s a myth!”  She explained to the audience that “It’s not true because what is going to happen is two things; first of all, the tooth paste is very drying, so it’s going to dry out the surrounding area, so now it is like a bull’s eye, instead of just a breakout, so it’s even worse.”  Sarah continued, “Then the tartar control ingredients and the flouride actually is going to irritate the skin.  So now it’s dry and it’s irritated, and it’s a zit, so it’s like ‘there it is!'”

“So what do you recommend?” asked Val.

Sarah explained “What your going to want to use a clarifying system.”  What’s her favorite product for clearing up acne fast?

"I swear by it" - Sarah Eggenberger, Beauty/Lifestyle Expert.

“It’s just an incredible product line,” concluded Sarah.  ClarityMD has been highly sought after since launching in the United States recently, on the strength of clinical studies that show it can clear acne up to three times faster than other leading acne products and even prescription topical acne creams.  Since then the leading beauty and skincare experts, including Sarah Eggenberger (in the video inset), Mickey Williams, and Kishana Johnson have been raving about it.

It’s not just that it does a fabulous job of eliminating acne, it also clears up blackheads, and it does it all without irritating your skin.  Study participants reported no dryness, no redness and no irritation.  That combination of results and gentle touch on the skin really makes this simple two SKU system unique.
